This wasn't how he pictured his life ending. At the hands of a bipolar fire wielding female who swore revenge on him for something he has yet to remember doing. Now she was going to kill him. What could he do now? She was way more proficient in hand to hand combat then him, not to mention she's also had more practice with her own powers. Plus she was more nimble and strategic. Maybe he lost this battle before he even entered it and just didn't think about things. But, Iris enjoyed this. She was glad that he went haphazardly into battle with her. She loved the fact that he wasn't the type to think things through. It made her revenge a whole lot easier. Closer and closer she drew as Dante tried to think of a way to bail himself out of this. He didn't know how but there had to be some way out of this. Iris came to a soft stop now towering over him as she was thinking of the ways she could finish him off. Quick and painless? No. He didn't deserve it. She knelt down to him and held her palm towards him, a small ball of dense flames forming. Iris' eyes were basically shining with the amount of happiness she was getting from the thought of killing this wretched boy. She's waited over two months for this and finally he was here unable to defend himself any further. She enjoyed taking him down so easily.
" See you in hell." She said, Dante getting ready to try something stupid but, fortunately for him Lecs had finally stepped in. Literally. His foot, which was bare for some reason, smashed against Iris' face. Her eyes widened not only in pain but in surprise as the force of his kick surprisingly enough to send her flying into the bushes. She went through the bushes and came out on the other side, sliding against the ground with her shoulder. That was a tough hit to take. Already her cheek was beginning to swell. But it was definitely going to take more then that to end this battle. Although she was getting up slowly, she had more then a ton of energy left inside of her and even more determination to fight with. Anger began to awake inside of her. She was so close to finishing him off and that "Old man" stepped in to save him. How dare he?! Out of anger, she took in a deep breath and filled her lungs with as much as she could, before opening her mouth and spitting fire onto the wall of bushes she flew through. The fire obviously caught onto the leaves and instantly began to burn away at them, the smoke rising up into the air. The angered Iris began to walk through the flames towards Lecs and Dante, her eyebrows scrunched together and her mouth curled into a frown to complete her angry expression.
Lecs, expressionless, pulled his hood back over his head. The resulting shadow cast by it covering his entire head again. The old man may have had some age under his belt but he knew how to defend himself. All the beaten Dante could do was watch. He didn't want to get up and fight again since he knew he would be discarded. Maybe he should just let Lecs do his thing for now. The burned adolescent couldn't believe he allowed himself to be taken down so easily. There goes his ego. " I'll give you one chance to leave peacefully" Said Lecs to Iris as she closed her left hand into a fist to crack her knuckles. She responded boldly to his proposal." I cannot do that since you nearly took my head off. Since you've only kicked me I'll make your death quick and painless." Lecs shook his head and pushed his hands outside of the sleeves of his robe, cracking his knuckles in the same way Iris did. He wasn't cocky he just knew he had more experience then her. What he did earlier with the tree wasn't even a fraction of what he could do with the power he had. For all she knew he could be reading her mind, or even have some type of foreign power besides Telekinesis.
Just as Dante and Iris did at the beginning of their fight, Lecs and Iris stood there, waiting for one of them to make the first move. Then, Iris disappeared into a flurry of flames. Lecs, with no visible expression, stayed in his place, slowly fixing his posture to stand up straight. The flaming Iris appeared behind him, her hands raised as if she had a pre-determined move in mind. With a little rotation of his torso, Lecs forced his elbow against her stomach, then turning all the way around quickly to uppercut her with his opposite hand. She stumbled back, in her mind wondering how such an old man was so good at fighting. As soon as she recovered from her daze she was met with another punch to the stomach, this time she was forced back onto her bottom. Compared to him she felt so weak. But being just as bull headed as Dante she decided to rise back to her feet to face him. She raised her hand and closed it into a fist, throwing a sluggish straight forward punch at Lecs. He simply stepped back and let her swing, watching as the force of her own swing made her stumble forward tiredly. Lecs reached his left hand forward and placed it on her head, adjusting it to make her look at him as he then threw his fist forward and bashed her nose. She held her nose and stumbled back, eyes closed as she let off another groan in pain.
Lecs on the inside was concerned for all the pain he caused her but he knew that this was all apart of neutralizing her. Getting ready to approach her again, Iris began to sniff. What was she doing? Trying to see if she still had a sense of smell? Lecs stopped to observe her movements, Iris now sniffing more violently." Ah......Ah....AHHH" She yelled loudly, before sneezing towards Lecs, a large ball of flames coming out of her mouth and hurtling towards Lecs. This took him on by surprise and he was unable to dodge, the ball catching onto his robes while Iris rubbed her bloodied nose. Lecs, though, didn't panic. The He held up both of his hands, now coated in a blue aura as his power began to "pat the flames" or "suffocate them" as some may say. The flames died down quickly and revealed parts of his burned robe. Maybe he wouldn't leave this battle unscathed but he wouldn't let her win. Iris balled up her fist, her words oozing out like acid from the anger building up inside of her." You could've made things simple and allowed me to kill him. But noooo, you just HAD to save him! I could have completed my reve-" Before she finished Lecs pointed at a rock, the rock floating into the air and then, with no hesitation Lecs swiftly aimed his finger at Iris, the rock flying towards and smashing against the side of her head, interrupting her. Dante let off a soft chuckle at this sight. Lecs was being harsh to her on purpose. " No one cares. Whether or not you want revenge is subjective to the events going on. Now, I'm giving you one last chance: Leave now and no more harm will befall you." Who the heck did he think he was?! Her father? She clenched both of her fists and was now shaking with the anger inside of her. She was back to that level of Livid she was when she was thrown by his kick.
Iris in a bull headed attempt to make him leave her alone, rushed for him again. Lecs began to straight out his back and dust himself off while she came towards him with what little bodily energy she had left. Well, unfortunately her determination wasn't dwindling. She raised her left hand, flames beginning to gather in the middle of her palm so that she could hit him with some fire. When she was within arms reach Lecs reached forward and dug two fingers into her neck, pinching her jugular softly and effectively cutting off some well needed blood to the brain temporarily. In other words, he pressure pointed her and knocked her out. Her limp body now fell to the ground next to him, the flames dissipating. Dante, surprised at the skill and style Lecs just displayed had misjudged him. Slowly the defeated adolescent began to stand back up, Lecs approaching him and letting his hands sink back into the darkness of his robe. Dante spoke first, his voice slightly low from the shame he felt from that stupid move he made earlier. "I uh....Thanks again." It almost tore him up to thank Lecs again since he was so used to doing things on his own. He got his butt handed to him by Iris just because he wasn't as disciplined in her powers then he was. And by the sheer determination Iris was showing earlier she would return....so there was only one thing he could do: prepare. Lecs spoke with no emotion as usual, his voice low as he brushed past the mentally broken Dante. " We're going to start honing your power tomorrow. Grab the girl and come with me." Dante's eyes widened in surprise, his voice objecting to Lecs' order." What?! She wants to kill me and you want to bring her with us!?" That was when Lecs stopped, his back turned to Dante and his voice having a slight growl to it." Do you really want to go against my commands?" For once Dante was afraid of him. His composure was actually broken by that comment as a frown formed. "....Fine." He reluctantly agreed to bring Iris along, a blue aura surrounding her as he slowly lifted her into the air and began to follow Lecs through the array of trees and bushes around them..
Carrying her telekinetically was all he was notable for. So far at least. What kind of training was he going to go through? Mental weight lifting or something? No, that was stupid. Before he knew it, Lecs began to speak and broke his train of thought, filling in his questions as if he knew what he was thinking. " Your training will first be to learn all that me and the other Monachus have learned about the higher state of mind we have reached. After you learn then you will apply it in physical training." That was kind of convenient.....He answered the question he had not even five seconds after he asked it. Mentally. Now Dante was beginning to wonder if he could read minds. That would be an awesome skill to have. Being able to peak into a person's mind just to see what they REALLY thought about you. He'd be able to manipulate conversation in his favor. Or...Well that was all he could come up with so far. In the distance the slightly distressed village of Monachus was seen, Dante's wondering why they were going back if he still couldn't control his power as Lecs said before. He could've sworn they came out here so he could train but he wasn't going to be caught questioning Lecs' methods. As they drew closer Lecs began to speak to him about what would be happening so far." Listen. When the feisty female wakes up, do not engage her in conversation. No matter how much she insults you, ignore. Disperdere made you all different. He carefully placed power into you. Iris derives her power from the sun goddess known as Prici. I could go into detail over how he acquired her soul but those details do not matter. She is a loose cannon because she is aware of the power she holds yet just like you she cannot control it. Her body is unstable from the stress thus it causes bipolar-like mood swings. I will be the only one communicating with her. Remember that."
Apparently Lecs made sure he knew Disperdere's plan. Did he write it down or something? Or was the plan burned into his memory? Whatever, as long as they could get this whole saving the world thing over with then he didn't mind. Maybe Lecs wasn't so bad. He was scary as hell but he wasn't half bad to hang around. He just wanted to save the world so that his Wife and daughter would be able to live on. An air of mystery surely did surround Lecs. But he was sure that he'd hear about his wife and daughter soon into this quest. Lecs used his telekinesis to open the fence of bushes that separated them from town. Dante decided to give him another question to answer" So, Lecs. What are we going to do when we get to your humble abode?" Lecs let out a chuckle, his tone lightening," You and the girl will be sharing a room." Dante stopped in his tracks, his jaw dropping. " But....she'll try to kill me in my sleep!" He argued, Lecs continuing to walk as if he wasn't concerned. He seemed to have control of the situation. The town was a tad bit livelier then it was earlier. Merchant booths were filled with customers, people were rushing in and out of their shacks or clay houses, and some people were even trying to help rebuild the building Dante destroyed on accident. Looks like Lecs was back on that silence streak he went on earlier. Suddenly, Dante crashed into Lecs' back, his telekinesis canceling and dropping Iris' limp body. Dante let off a huff and turned his head, his telekinesis picking her back up as he was now going to ask the obvious question. " So....why'd you stop?" He asked, Lecs staring up at the sky.".....Run."
" What? Why?" He asked, looking up as well. What in the actual hell was he looking at? Lecs' turned, his grey eyes shining through the darkness of his hood towards Dante, the shine they emanated actually frightening. " I said get out of here! I'll catch up!"
