Oh great. So he was going to go ahead and panic? What was it that was forcing the stone composure of Lecs to shatter? Well, only one way to find out. Dante turned his head, and then his entire body so that he could behold the sight of the flames together in the grass. Wait, how was the grass not-- never mind. He wasn't gonna question nature anymore. Being able to lift stuff with his mind didn't really leave him much room to question physics anymore. Plus all that was going on didn't really scream normal so he shouldn't even be surprised by this. The contained flames started in the grass and as expected formed a pair feet with sandals, moving on up to form the slender, feminine legs of this female covered by her jeans. Her arms, torso, and eventually her head were all formed. She had on a white shirt with a few rips and the tail was halfway burned. The light complexion of this female almost shined in the sunlight as her red hair and matching red eyes glared intently at Dante.
He could have sworn he recognized her from somewhere. His mind began to sort through the plethora of things he's done and people he's seen over the last three months and honestly she didn't stick out. No pun intended. Lecs though, he remembered her perfectly....He knew exactly who she was. With an accusing finger pointed at her, Lecs began to speak about who this female was. Lecs was surprised, not scared that she was present. " This female that stands before us, she's another one of the Children of Disperdere. In his plan he spoke of the 'Queen of Flames.' She must be..." Lecs froze mid sentence, trying to comprehend a way to stop the "Queen Of Flames." The " Queen" finally spoke to them both, her tone heavy with the anger she held towards Dante. No ill will was aimed towards Lecs as she had never met him before nor has he done her any wrong. But Dante. She wanted him dead. With all of her heart she wanted him to pay for what he did." My name is Iris. Do you not remember me?" The male adolescent's eyes narrowed unamused. "Who....ARE you again?" So he forgot her. That face....it looked so familiar he just couldn't place where he saw her before.
With a roll of her eyes she was going to yell at him but, for some reason she found it within herself to calm down. For people who know Iris this was a first. Iris rationalizing in her nonstop yelling? This was unusual. The reason why is because she worked everything out already. Although it would be icing on the cake for him to know why he was about to become a human torch, the cynical thoughts racing through Iris' head became too much to bare as she began to smirk. That evil smile actually sent a chill down Lecs' spine. "Never mind who I am... you should be more worried about surviving. Last I checked you don't have any powers." This was when Lecs was about to speak up to recommend that Dante don't fight her but, what did he do that he was the best at? He rushed into the decision rather then going through the decision making process. " Alright you fire wielding harpy, let's settle whatever problem you have with me right here, right now." his tone was proud and boisterous as he declared they should fight. Iris' eyebrow arched as if she thought he was weird but she couldn't possibly pass up the chance to fight him. What was the fun in things if your victim didn't at least struggle?
Dante held his fists up as if he was some sort of boxer, completely ready to fight and take her down. If he only knew how much experience she had with her powers then he did with his own. All he knew was how to lift things. He hasn't even scratched the surface with what he was given. But were any of these thoughts running through his head? No. Lecs had the idea to stop him but, he thought this would be a good learning experience for the hot headed Dante. So, he would step in whenever things got too dangerous for Dante. The bull headed Dante awaited Iris to make the first move, the female's face remaining sinister while she watched. It was basically a stare off. That is, until her composure was broken by just waiting for him to do something. She opened her hand and held it up next to her head, a bright flame forming in the middle of it. The flame now spiraled to form a fireball, Iris quickly tossing it towards him as he stepped back cockily, watching the flames explode and catching onto the grass. Never the nature savy type, but also not the type to just let an entire forest burn. Quickly Dante's attention was taken from the fight to stomp out the flame, losing focus on his current objective. Easily distracted. Lecs shook his head at this sight. Iris, with blinding speed, dissolved into flames almost in the same way she came. Then, when Dante finished, Iris appeared in front of him, her expression flat as she forced the ball of her hand against his chin. This move caused his head to follow the direction of her hand, his body following suit and twirling as he stumbled back. His eyes closed in pain as he reached up to feel his chin, surprised that she was able to pull something off like that.
Iris could tell this was going to be too easy. Well close combat was out of the question for Dante. He looked around quickly and saw nothing that he could lift. It took him some effort to life the debris back at the shrine building. So he couldn't lift an entire tree like Lecs could. That was when his brown pupils scrolled back to Iris who had her own stance as she awaited his move. He held his hand forward and a blue aura surrounded her, as he raised his hand upward to take her into the air. This broke her smug expression as it was now surprised. She didn't see this coming. Dante stared at her while holding her off the ground, swirling his finger to flip her head first towards the ground. Then, he swatted his hand down to smash her into the ground, almost cracking her spine but this wasn't any pain she couldn't bare through. When she hit the ground she let out a yelp in pain but immediately began to rise to her feet again. Determination carried her while what little amount of self esteem was left carried Dante. Dante was grateful he did some damage but it felt she hasn't done anything colossal. Almost like she was playing with him. Iris threw her fist forward, a ball of flames smashing against Dante's chest and catching onto his shirt. He quickly began to pat himself down, panicking and then throwing off his shirt. He was now shirtless and had a few burn marks on his torso. Turning his attention back to Iris, she laughed at the sight of his instant panic, throwing another fire ball at him. He ducked, now quickly rushing forward and tackling her.
Maybe he should start thinking about these things. Iris was indeed taken by surprise that he made contact and took her down but this was nothing she couldn't handle. She closed her hands into fists and focused, flames encasing her body. Dante, feeling the flames against his bare skin, rolled to the side and rose to his own feet, Iris' flames fading as she also stood. More burns covered his body now thanks to Iris' quick thinking. He couldn't stay on the defensive forever so maybe he could break a bone or something and make her give up. Throwing his hand forward again, she was once again surrounded by that blue aura that showed she was in his power. But, as soon as she felt herself being lifted, she threw an open palmed hand towards him, another fire ball being thrown towards him. His eyes widened as he was once again hit, flying backwards and falling back first onto the ground. Iris was dropped and she stuck the landing on her feet, looking down at her opponent. Now his chest had a giant burn mark. Slowly the weakening Dante adjusted himself to sit up on his elbows, staring back at the sinister Iris.
The flame wielding Iris began to creep towards him, a smirk forming on her face. Dante's brown eyes watched her movements closely, wondering what she would do to him.
